My Pinky Promise

My promise ring finally arrived in the post today from Pinky Promise.
When I ordered this ring I thought I was simply going receive a cute ring, but it came with this little card which made me stop and examine myself. I realised that this wasn't just about rocking a cute Christian ring, it's actually symbolic of a commitment to Christ. A commitment not to be taken lightly. I'm so grateful for this because I definately needed this. A massive thank you to Pinky Promise Movement team again for not just making cute accessories but for ministering through them and impacting lives.

Oh & did I mention it's the perfect size for my ring finger too!!

The Work Out

Bonjour beauts' :)

I recently got persuaded to join the gym. I will have to admit I was never big on working out and busting a sweat. Now, its my favourite hangout spot. I absolutely adore the place, I walk out feeling like an Olympic champ every time with my energy levels nice and high. I discovered something pretty amazing while everyone was working out which I wanted to share with you

Check this out

In the gym there are treadmills, weights, bike etc. Everyone is working out on each machine solely concerned about reaching their individual goals. Some are working towards marathons, keeping fit and healthy, loosing weight, muscle building, toning, bikini bodies for holiday etc. Those who work out a lot can be seen by their muscles, toned bodies etc (You get the idea right?!)

As Christians we have some working out do to every day, every moment for the rest of our lives. The Word of God says,"...Work out your OWN salvation with fear and with trembling." I emphasize on own because salvation is personal.(Me, Myself and I). We should all have spiritual goals to work towards. One is allowed to be selfish when it comes to anything that messes with their salvation. We use the word of GOD as a mirror to keep us on track as we press toward the goal of the high calling. Our focus is not on how our brother or sister who's in the next lane is doing but its on Christ alone. We are here to provoke one another unto love and works. So, lets remember we are all in our lanes and our focus is on Christ alone.

Phillipians 2:12
Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
Hebrews 10:24(KJV)
And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
Phillipians 4:13 (KJV)
I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

University:This Big Light Of Mine

 Bonjour beauts'

There are a few things that spring to mind when we talk about university: the excitement of leaving the nest ,the joys of not having to answer to the parents and yes the wild nights . The majority of students party until they do not even remember why they came to uni in the first place. That, dear friends, is what university is all about for those of this world.

Yours Truly is starting university in a few days excitement levels are pretty high. Apart from the education side of things, I realise that university for us Christians and the world are exact opposites; while the world brags on how many wild nights they had, we brag on how many souls we reached by HIS grace. We may not be going for the same reason as the rest of the world but we ought to be excited too right?!. Excited to share the beautiful truth of the gospel from a heart of love. University is the perfect place to share our faith but that requires us to stand-up and stand-out for what we believe in. Many people haven't heard about the Savior Jesus Christ. You are not at university by accident God has a plan for you :)

Romans 1:16For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Yours Trulys' Preparation Tips
1) In the beginning God. Remember to put God first.Proverbs 3:6In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths
2) Prepare in every way possible. Failing to prepare is preparation to fail.
3) Write down your vision for university. Make a vision board. Habakkuk 2:2 And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make itplain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.

New Beginnings

Bonjour Lovelys'

Can you believe summer is nearly over?!
I hope you caught countless rays of sunshine, ate as many ice creams as your belly can hold and had a few too many picnics with your loved ones.

Yours Truly has recently moved to a whole new city. To a large extent my summer has revolved around this big move and at long last it has happened. It's early days but I'm excited to see what God has in-store for this new season.
Isaiah 43:19 KJV
19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

Loving you

Do not bow

Hello everyone  :)

Yesterday, my beloved mother decided to drop by my bedroom for a casual chat. The casual chat turned into a mini sermon from Daniel 3:13-25. The story of Shadrach Meshach and Abednego,
the three Hebrew who purposed in their heart to worship the One True God instead of bowing to the golden image made by Nebuchadnezzar. Refusing to worship the golden image made them lose favour with the king. As a result they were thrown into the  heated furnace.

Daniel 3:16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.17 If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.18 But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

24 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. 25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.

Heart Check
What situation are you bowing to?
Remember
He is the One True God
REFUSE TO BOW!
I REPEAT REFUSE TO BOW!
God is faithful.

Psalm 50:15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.
Jeremiah 15:21And I will deliver thee out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem thee out of the hand of the terrible

If You Can't Step Into Church In It, Step Out Of It.

Hi everyone
I'm absolutely delighted that the sun is out. Hopefully It won't a typical british summer with four seasons in a day.

Ladies, I have been thinking alot lately about dressing for this summer season . I know most of you have got your perfect summer body in place and you're ready to strut your stuff. You may be planning on hopping into your trendy 'barely covering the thigh shorts' and crop tops to feel the rays hit your body. It's your body, it's only right that you love it.

But honestly if we loved our bodies we would show them respect. One of the ways we show we respect ourselves and our bodies is in the way we dress (our style). Style is a way to say who you are without saying a word. I dont know about you but I sure do not want males whistling at me like a dog, neither am I looking to be viewed as a piece of steak.Think of  your body as the most precious diamond necklace which when wearing you have to combine with some exquisite pieces. You may argue that it's just a body and it's summer but 1 Corinthians 6:19  says Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own. If that scripture does not make us want to value our bodies I don't know what will.

Secondly, I realised that there are certain males out there who do not view our decision to wear crop tops and 'barely covering the thigh shorts' as innocently as we may. At the first glimpse of  our thighs or torso their minds start drifting off miles away to lust land. Yep it's true! I mean c'mon, after watching girls in those music videos who wear close to no clothes, what makes us suddenly think they are going to view our bodies with respect when we look just like the video girls? There has to be a fine line between girls of the world and the young women of God. Im not saying we should spend the summer in maxis' but we can still look great without compromising.

A question I ask myself before leaving the house, "Can I step into church wearing this?" If not I step out of it quickly.

"Style is a way to say who you are without saying a word."
Let your style say that you are a young woman of God.

I love you tons

A Book To Undo The Lies

Bonjour beauties

Amazing things have been happening over the past couple of weeks. I will be sharing with you in a little while so hold tight. I just wanted to show you this book.
I recently purchased this book by Trip Lee called The Good Life. I dont know about you but I'm pretty sure that the world has fed me lies about what the good life really is about. I'm young, the last thing I want to do is spend my life chasing after the worlds standard of the good life. I want the good life that God has instore for me not the worlds! The world tells me I need big money, flashy cars, fancy clothes, fame etc to prove I have made it and I'm officially living the good life. I want to know from Gods' perspective what the good life looks like. So I decided, hey!why don't I pick up this book by one of my favourite rappers to find out what the good life really is about.

I haven't read any books for a while now so I'm loking forward to getting stuck in. I will be back with more good stuff.

I love you guys.

Agape Life. A Lifestyle Magazine For A New Generation

Bonjour Beautys

I just had to share with you my favourite item currently.Oh yes ! It's a magazine. I have always dreamt about us as Christians having our own magazine which would be sold in the same league as OK magazine, Vouge  magazine etc, but never in a million years did I think this would happen anytime soon. GOD just had to prove me wrong because it's happening. (Oh ye of little faith)
This right here lovely people is the very first edition of the AGAPE LIFE magazine; a lifestyle magazine for a new generations. You see it and you just have to snatch a copy (not literally).

It aims to spread the love of GOD through published work (Habakkuk 2:2). It's not just a magazine, it's a work of art. It's modern, contemporary and catchy. It features beauty, fashion, entertainment, poetry, music, short stories, childrens' corner and most importantly the Archbishops Teachings.

If only I could express my excitement for the next edition of this magazine. Our GOD is too awesome.

Seasons

It's a new season, it's got me thinking a little about the seasons we have as Christians in our walk with Christ. For everything that happens in the spiritual there is always a parrallel in the natural/physical realm right?! So it is with seasons.

Winter. The bleak, cheerless and difficult season. Everything around seems to be coming apart at the seams. Most of the season we feel like hibernating, or curling up in a ball because the Siberian weather is unbearable. It's a season where we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed.(2 Corinthians 4:8)Nevertheless when faith arises regardless of what we see in the physical it becomes a cozy winter with Christ right by our side. It may be chilly outside, but it  sure is rosey inside. It's a season we learn to rely on Christ alone.

Spring. A glimpse of hope springs forth. It's a sign that a glorious new season is approaching. Even though we may not quite be in summer yet, we rejoice knowing that summer is nearly here.
Psalm 30:5 says, "...Weeping endures for a night, but joy comes in the morning."

Summer. The season where nothing but the glory of GOD shines through. The harship is over. Looking back at the past seasons we are confident that it was nothing but the hand of GOD that got us through. For the Lord will have turned our mourning into dancing; taken off our sackcloth and clothed us with a garment of joy. (Psalm 30:11-12)

Autumn:  The cycle begins again. Slowly but surely everything begins to fall apart again. The winter looks bleaker than the last; for no winter has characteristics that are excatly the same as the last. When GOD is ready to elevate you to a new level the trials, tribulations and temptations are stepped up a notch too. But guess what HIS WORD REMAINS THE SAME.(Hebrew13:8)

He is GOD, regardless of season.

Back To Basics

Hey  Lovelies :)

"If Christ be anything HE should always be everything." I heard this quote a couple of weeks back, instantly I fell in love with it. Just by meditating on it for a few days, I started a self check eeekk! And well ermmn, lets just say the results weren't pleasant.
It's a fact that over the course of Christian walk we collect dirt. It may not be visible to those around us, but individually we know when we've cooked up a bad stench inside. It's like carrying a pretty handbag full of trash, no-one knows whats inside until we open it up lol.The amazing thing about our Mighty Saviour is that HE is faithful, and just to forgive us, and welcome us back with open arms.
So for me guys it's back to basics.
Happy bloggings lovelies xx

Hey beauties,

I'm back again! I am, as you can see, super excited to start blogging again. I subtly took a step back from blogging because the level of clutter on this blog was just shocking. It had no direction whatsoever. This time however, it's going somewhere.I hope you guys stick with me and are encouraged by the posts to come. I trust you are already enjoying 2013 as much as I am.
