If You Can't Step Into Church In It, Step Out Of It.

Hi everyone
I'm absolutely delighted that the sun is out. Hopefully It won't a typical british summer with four seasons in a day.

Ladies, I have been thinking alot lately about dressing for this summer season . I know most of you have got your perfect summer body in place and you're ready to strut your stuff. You may be planning on hopping into your trendy 'barely covering the thigh shorts' and crop tops to feel the rays hit your body. It's your body, it's only right that you love it.

But honestly if we loved our bodies we would show them respect. One of the ways we show we respect ourselves and our bodies is in the way we dress (our style). Style is a way to say who you are without saying a word. I dont know about you but I sure do not want males whistling at me like a dog, neither am I looking to be viewed as a piece of steak.Think of  your body as the most precious diamond necklace which when wearing you have to combine with some exquisite pieces. You may argue that it's just a body and it's summer but 1 Corinthians 6:19  says Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own. If that scripture does not make us want to value our bodies I don't know what will.

Secondly, I realised that there are certain males out there who do not view our decision to wear crop tops and 'barely covering the thigh shorts' as innocently as we may. At the first glimpse of  our thighs or torso their minds start drifting off miles away to lust land. Yep it's true! I mean c'mon, after watching girls in those music videos who wear close to no clothes, what makes us suddenly think they are going to view our bodies with respect when we look just like the video girls? There has to be a fine line between girls of the world and the young women of God. Im not saying we should spend the summer in maxis' but we can still look great without compromising.

A question I ask myself before leaving the house, "Can I step into church wearing this?" If not I step out of it quickly.

"Style is a way to say who you are without saying a word."
Let your style say that you are a young woman of God.

I love you tons
YoursTruly
MissB
